Merry Christmas to all

December 25th, 2010

Today was a busy, but happy day.  Lots of friends and relatives, lots of good food.  Not many presents because everyone is feeling the budget crunch.  But what is really important at this time of year is getting together with people you care about, right?  Christmas is about being with loved ones, and that is what happened, so it is all good.  Hope you had a good Christmas too!

A good show

December 11th, 2010

I don’t know why, but today the memory of going to see “Stomp” several years ago popped into my head. It was a great show, something I’ll always remember. I went with my two kids and hubby. I would love to go see them again sometime! I found this video on YouTube of one of the numbers that they do.

Invited out for Thanksgiving

November 16th, 2010

I’ve been invited out to a friends house for Thanksgiving this year.  I’m very grateful for the invitation; I’ve had a hectic autumn and it looks like a hectic winter is approaching, so not having to clean and cook and entertain at my house this year is a blessing!  The only drawback is that I won’t have as much leftover turkey as I like to have for leftover meals.  So I guess I’ll be buying a turkey breast anyway and cooking it up here at home so we can have leftover turkey no matter what.  I’ll be making a cranberry-orange-apple relish dish to take with me to the dinner to share with the other guests.  It’s a recipe I’ve had for about four years now, and I like it a lot.  I hope the other guests will like it too!

Hunting turkeys

October 15th, 2010

After my sister sent me a funny video called the Turkey Rap, I went on You Tube to see how I could share it with you on my blog. In doing so, I found those guys had done another video that is just as funny called The Turkey Hunt! What a riot! I hope you enjoy it!

So funny – the turkey rap video!
