Well, after a long hard week at work, I’m glad the weekend is here! We’re going to go eat out at the local Ruby Tuesday for supper tonight. It will be a real treat because we don’t eat out very often. Money is tight, and the price of gas makes us think really hard about going anywhere. But, we are going to see a movie after the meal, so that makes me feel a little less guilty about going out “just to eat.”
We are joining a few friends that we haven’t seen for a while; it will be good to catch up with them. I hate that we get so busy that we don’t get together as often as we used to. We need to try harder to keep in touch with them. Friends and family are what make life worth living!

I like Easter. Especially if the weather cooperates and is nice outside, so you can think that spring really is here. It’s a little bit harder if it is cold and wet on Easter day.
I like to decorate the house with Easter eggs. (And I like egg salad sandwiches, and devilled eggs!) I prefer to decorate paper mache eggs instead of “real eggs” or to blow out eggs and decorate them. I’ve always hated decorating hard boiled eggs because within such a short period of time you are ruining your artistic creation! That breaks my heart! I guess I could never be one of those sculptors that sculpts out of ice, or from sand on the beach. I want my creative stuff to last a long time!
I wish I had the talent to REALLY decorate eggs very fancy, like the really cool ostrich eggs I see at craft shows! I’ve found a cool website called eggsamples.org that has pictures of really beautifully decorated eggs. I’ve put the link in in my “favorites” list so that maybe I can go back there and get some inspiration later to try my hand at doing some of those methods of egg decorating!
I hate to put the decorated eggs away at the end of Easter; I usually leave them out for quite a while. Come to think of it, I hate to put Christmas decorations away at the end of the Christmas season, too!
Easter is a time of new beginnings. New life. New blogs!
Welcome to my blog! (And Happy Easter!)
